Every business is heading somewhere.
Most businesses your size have never had anyone who holds the whole picture. Tell EVA where you are going, and the North Star is how she knows - so the answers are about progress, not just movement.
Your North Star is not a form you fill in once. Things change, so you add, edit and delete, and she keeps up. The more you feed her, the more she knows.
She finds the levers already working. The lines in your live data genuinely moving you toward the goal, so you know what to double down on rather than guessing.
She catches the drift early. Costs creeping, a margin sliding, a trend that will miss the target - named while there is still time to act.
Which is when it flips. You stop opening a general AI to ask about your own business, because she is the only one that gets it.
The things you would explain to a new CFO in their first month.
None of it is in your ledger, and all of it changes what the ledger means.
Your North Star
Where the business is actually trying to get to, in your words, revisable whenever it changes.
Your definitions
What you count as churn, when your year ends, which revenue is recurring and which is not.
Your exceptions
Why last March was not a real drop. Which budget replaced which. The client who always pays late and always pays.
Your names
The fifteen ways your systems spell the same customer, resolved once so every report agrees.
Your corrections
Everything she got wrong and you fixed. Filed, and never raised again.
Your people
Who does what, who reports to whom, and whose targets changed in July.
The more you put in, the more you get out.
She will get things wrong. When you correct her, the correction goes into the graph and stays there. Nothing has to be re-explained, so the answers keep getting sharper on their own.
It works like a good marriage. Year one is fine. Year five is the point. That is the part you cannot export.
Partner revenue for A. Lovelace is running 18% below budget.
One correction. It now applies to every report, every Pulse and every answer about her.
What EVA knows, answered.
What is a North Star in VibeCFO?
Your North Star is a plain-language statement of what the business is trying to become. EVA reads every number against it, so the answers are about progress toward that goal rather than movement for its own sake. It is a living document you add to, edit and delete from rather than a form you fill in once.
What is EVA's knowledge graph?
It is everything true about your business that is not written in your ledger - your definitions, your goals, your exceptions and every correction you have made. She builds it by asking, and it is held per tenant, so nothing you tell her is shared with anyone else.
How does EVA learn about my business?
By asking, in ordinary conversation, and by watching which reports you actually open. When she gets something wrong and you correct her, the correction goes into the graph and applies to every report, Pulse and answer from then on.
Why does this make the answers better over time?
Because nothing has to be re-explained. Year one is fine. Year five is the point, because by then she knows the things you were never going to think to say out loud - and that is the part you cannot export to a competitor.
Is what I tell EVA private?
Yes. Your knowledge lives in your own database in your own region, is never used to train any model - ours or anyone else's - and is governed by the same user groups and row-level rules as your data.
Tell her where you are going.
The North Star takes ten minutes to set and changes every answer she gives you afterwards.
