Cashflow forecast for SimPro businesses

You can see what cash you've got today by looking at the bank. Working out what cash you'll have in six weeks — given the jobs in progress, the quotes about to land, the suppliers about to invoice, and the payroll run that won't move — is a different sport entirely.

Most SimPro businesses run cashflow off a spreadsheet that gets updated when someone has time. So usually never. So usually they find out about a cash crunch the week it hits.

How it works

VibeCFO connects SimPro to your accounting system and projects cash forward.

  • Ask EVA "what does cash look like in 8 weeks?" Get a forecast with the assumptions laid out so you know what's driving it.
  • Run scenarios in plain English. "What if our two biggest debtors pay 30 days late?" "What if we win the Carter job?" EVA reruns the forecast.
  • Catch the crunches early. EVA flags weeks where projected cash drops below threshold so you can chase invoices, delay supplier payments, or call the bank before it's urgent.
We caught a 6-week cash dip three months out and pulled forward an invoice schedule. No drama. Used to be we'd find out the Friday before payroll.

Frequently asked questions

Can SimPro do a cashflow forecast?
SimPro shows you what's been quoted, what's in progress, and what's been invoiced — but it doesn't roll that into a forward cash forecast. VibeCFO does. EVA pulls active jobs, scheduled invoices, supplier commitments, payroll, and recurring outgoings to project cash 4, 8, or 12 weeks out.
How accurate is the forecast?
As accurate as your SimPro and accounting data. EVA tells you which assumptions matter most so you know where the risk is. Scenario it: 'what if our two biggest debtors pay 30 days late?'
Can I forecast by entity if I run multiple companies?
Yes. EVA forecasts per entity or consolidated across the group. See the [consolidated reporting page](/integrations/simpro/consolidated-reporting).
